Many philosophers have cited the book as the most revolutionary form of art, as its contents are revealed through an intimate exchange with one person. This piece is designed to enable the audience to construct their own narratives from their favourite books and share them with another person. Each audience member retrieves one of their favourite books from the archives, selects their favourite passage, then goes to a unique rendezvous point where they are met by another audience member. Each reads their favourite passage to the other then photocopies and mounts it on a designated wall within the Library. This comes to represent the private hopes and fantasies of the audience at this time as well as a monumental, eclectic compendium of great writing.
